BRISBANE EDUCATION SURFACING

Artificial Turf & Sports Surfacing for Brisbane Schools and Universities

Safe, compliant and built-to-last outdoor surfaces, delivered by Tuff Group’s local Queensland team.

THE CHALLENGE

Outdoor Spaces That Need to Perform Every Day

Ageing surfaces Poor ground performance Capital constraints

Schools and universities place enormous pressure on their outdoor environments. Ageing surfaces, poor drainage, worn natural grass and high-use areas can quickly become difficult to maintain, unsafe or unavailable when they are needed most.

At the same time, education providers need every capital investment to work harder. Tuff Group designs and delivers durable, purpose-built surface solutions that improve performance, reduce ongoing maintenance demands and provide long-term value across busy education environments.

THE TUFF DIFFERENCE

Built Better From the Ground Up

A high-performance surface starts well before the turf, acrylic or rubber is installed. Tuff Group takes a considered approach to every project, from site conditions and base preparation through to system installation, quality control and long-term performance.
By focusing on what sits beneath the surface as much as the finish itself, we help create education facilities that are built to perform under demanding daily use.
01

Site & surface assessment

Existing surface condition, drainage, levels and usage are documented before anything is specified.
02

Design & specification

System, infill, shockpad and line marking are specified against the sport codes and standards the facility needs to meet.
03

Earthworks & base preparation

In-house crews deliver excavation, drainage and base construction — the part of the build that determines how the surface performs in year ten.
04

System installation

Surface installation, seaming, infill and line marking completed by the same team, with no subcontractors.
05

Quality control & handover

Testing, certification documentation and a SignatureCARE maintenance plan handed over with the finished surface.

CERTIFICATION & COMPLIANCE

Performance Backed by Recognised Industry Standards

SUSTAINABILITY

Built to Last. Designed to Close the Loop.

Less Irrigation

Artificial turf does not require the routine irrigation needed to maintain natural grass sporting surfaces.

Less Routine Grounds Maintenance

Artificial surfaces reduce the need for mowing, fertilising and other ongoing turf maintenance.

Recycled Material Options

Selected Tuff Group systems can incorporate recycled materials, including recycled rubber base layers and compatible recycled infill options.

RE4ORM End-of-Life Recycling

RE4ORM provides an end-of-life pathway for eligible artificial turf materials, recovering and recycling material when a surface is eventually replaced rather than sending it straight to landfill.

PROJECT FUNDING

Funding a School Surface Upgrade in Queensland

Most education surface upgrades are funded across more than one budget cycle. We provide the documentation facility and business teams need to put a project forward: scope, specification, staging options and indicative costs.

Planning a Future Upgrade?

If the work sits in a future year, we can assess the surface now, record its condition and give you a costed plan to hold against the next capital round.
