Our Education Surface Capability
Tuff Group installs and maintains the full range of outdoor surfaces used across Australian primary schools, secondary schools, childcare centres, kindergartens, and universities, from small play zones and rubber softfall areas through to large multi-sport precincts with synthetic turf ovals, hard courts, and running tracks.
Our capability covers new installation and full or partial resurfacing across synthetic turf sports fields and multi-sport areas, acrylic hard courts for basketball, netball, and tennis, rubber wet-pour softfall for playgrounds and play zones, synthetic turf play areas and landscaping, and cricket wickets. We also handle line marking, play space design, and ongoing planned maintenance under the same contract.
Education Surfaces We Install
Synthetic turf — sports fields and multi-sport areas Sand-filled and performance-infill synthetic grass systems for school ovals, multipurpose sports fields, and play zones. Products include Vmax40 (FIFA certified, ideal for football and multi-sport), Vmax50 (FIFA and AFL/CA certified, developed specifically for football and education contexts), and FastPro 18 (FIH certified, designed for the Australian education context with dimensional stability for long-lasting performance). All systems are UV-stabilised, heat resistant, and backed by an 8-year warranty.
Synthetic turf — multi-court and play areas Short-pile synthetic grass systems designed for tennis, netball, basketball, and multi-sport court applications. MultiCourt 19 is the value-driven option for education and tennis applications with a 7-year warranty. MultiCourt Signature is the ITF-certified premium option delivering exceptional player performance and standing ability for high-use school facilities.
Acrylic hard courts Multi-layered acrylic systems applied over concrete or asphalt for basketball, netball, tennis, and multi-sport court installations. ITF-certified options available. Full colour range with vibrant, durable finishes suited to school environments. Ideal for play areas, PE programs, and school sports.
Rubber softfall — wet-pour playgrounds AS/NZS 4422:2016 compliant wet-pour rubber softfall for playgrounds and play zones. Available in single colour, multi-colour, and custom designs incorporating shapes, letters, numbers, and outdoor learning elements. A recycled rubber base layer combined with UV-stabilised virgin rubber topcoat delivers a surface that is non-toxic, durable, and engineered to correct critical fall heights for playground equipment compliance.
